Go to the lab.
Give them a small (less than 1 ounce or 20 cc) urine sample.
- Do not void (pee) for at least 1 hour before the test.
- When giving the sample, make sure to collect the first urine expelled.
Be sure to give up to date contact information! We can only call you by the number you provide. Results can take up to 3 weeks.
If your test is negative, no chlamydia or gonorrhea was found in your urine: You will not be contacted.
If your test is positive, chlamydia or gonorrhea was found in your urine. A public health nurse will contact you to discuss options for free treatment which is a single dose of antibiotics.
NEW – If you would like to confirm your negative result with a Public Health Nurse, you may now call 613-560-1244 three weeks after your testing date
Being infected with a STI (including chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, genital herpes and trichomoniasis) increases the risk of transmission and acquisition of HIV if exposed.
